Media
As a journalist, traveler, author and speaker, I’m lucky. I live a rich life through my experiences. I get to meet people such as Congresswoman Karen Bass, interview celebrities such as Don Cheadle, and hob nob with educators, museum directors and curators, with city workers and community-based, civic-minded educators and health workers across the country and particularly in the Black Women’s Democratic Club of LA. I also get to be interviewed by award-winning journalists about my book, Black Indian, on NPR, and in major newspapers. As a mom and grandparent, and a traditionalist who celebrates culture, I’m extremely grateful for every reminder of how life is precious and full with love and joy. The power of story is in our every step.
